SUMMER 2023 UPDATES: Confirmed transferrable ferry tickets for one vehicle are still available July 30-Aug 6 and Aug13-20 (Sunday-to-Sunday round trips for weekly rentals). Separately, I have eight, three-day General Admission passes to the Beach Road Weekend concert in late August that are available for resale to anyone who does a weeklong rental overlapping with the concert (Aug 25, 26, 27).
This pristine five-bedroom home is on nearly 4 acres in the Lambert’s Cove area, adjacent to a horse farm, and part of a private dirt road association with walking paths, tennis, and a deep-water dock on Lake Tashmoo. The property offers the best of both worlds - a private country setting reminiscent of “up-island” yet just minutes from the ferry, shops, and restaurants.
The newly (2022) redecorated house has central air-conditioning, lots of natural light and high ceilings. Five bedrooms include two kings and two queens with en suite bathrooms (two of the bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill shower room) as well as a smaller fifth bedroom with a single bed. A queen pullout is available in one of the upstairs bedrooms for a child, allowing a maximum occupancy of 10. All four large bedrooms have Smart Samsung TVs, and there are blackout shades in all bedrooms except for small accent windows in the double-height Master BR.
The property offers great entertaining spaces for memorable family gatherings; There is a formal dining room that seats up to twelve people, plus a large, well-equipped chef’s kitchen for everyday dining that has everything a guest could need to cook and curate family gatherings. A TV room adjacent adjacent to the kitchen has a large flat screen TV and games – the perfect place for rainy days and evenings. A more formal living room with a baby grand piano leads out to a porch with dining and leisure areas, and a patio ringed with Adirondack chairs for seamless indoor/outdoor living.
Features include a first-floor primary suite, a well-appointed library/study, new appliances in the chef’s kitchen, separate dining room, two living rooms, a fitness room and rec space in the basement . Finished outdoor spaces include a large, landscaped yard with hammock and yard games, a patio with Adirondack chairs, and a porch with outdoor dining. An outdoor shower is located off a smaller side porch with direct access to the garage, laundry, and mud rooms, and a gas grill, hammock, and sun loungers in the side yard.
There are two association tennis courts that guests may use on a first come, first served basis, and an association dock for swimming is located a short way down a private (association) dirt road on nearby Lake Tashmoo, or a 15 minute walk across the road and then down mostly association footpaths. Note that Tashmoo is actually a saltwater and fully tidal bay and opens up to Vineyard Sound - it is protected from most winds and wave activity, but is not a freshwater lake as the name might suggest.
This home has a highly-responsive (24/7) owner and all rentals include a range of amenities designed to help guests live their best island life:
Parachute linens are used in all bedrooms;
Bathrooms are pre-stocked with a custom selection of Kiehls and other basic products;
Upgraded WIFI is available on a mesh network throughout the home and outdoor living spaces, and two desks are outfitted for plug-and-play ease with 27” monitors, webcams, printers, etc;
Guests will also find pre-provisioning for basic household items (e.g. paper towels, Nespresso pods, printer ink) to ease common pain points for short term rentals, and help guests transition to Island Time the moment they check in;
Complimentary house passes for access to all MA Audubon and Trustees of Reservations properties on the island are also made available;
In addition, a canoe, kayaks, SUP paddle boards and a large selection of beach gear (including coolers and high-end beach chairs and towels) are available.
Guests at this property are encouraged to coordinate with the owner in advance if they would like to arrange for additional provisioning including florals or logistics like daily housekeeping, a private chef, or catering, planned in advance.
Confirmed and transferable ferry tickets for one (1) vehicle are available for purchase the weeks of: July 2-9, July 30-August 6, and August 6-20. Up to eight (8), three-day transferrable general admission tickets to the Beach Road Concert are available to purchase at a highly discounted rate for guests staying during the concert on August 25th, 26th, and 27th. * all dates are 2023
