We are proud to offer REI DE GAMBIARRA for the last two months of our season for September and October 2021. The name of the boat comes from a nickname that the owner was called in Brazil which means “the king of invention” – he was always coming up with ways to fix things on his sailboat without actually having the original part . This boat has gone through an extensive remodeling. It has been gutted on the interior and the owner has recently completed a completely new interior. The style of the boat is similar to a Nantucket cottage – it is rustic and basic in its aesthetic. The walls and floor are done and white similar to a beach cottage in Nantucket and colors to accent the interior are modest with solid blues and linen hues.
this boat can accommodate up to four people – there are three click down sofa beds that turn into single twin beds. For four people, it is recommended that to people sleep on the single twin bed which is very possible. This book is truly ideal for three people each of whom would have their own bed.
For amenities, there is a separate bathroom that has a raised shower. a gravity-fed toilet and a sink. There’s plenty of hot water. For warmer days, we have an air conditioning unit that’s been installed in the boat. And also for cooler evenings, we will offer a space heater which should heat everything up nicely for the month of October. There’s also a wonderful upper deck that allows panoramic views of the city. This is a truly unique opportunity to spend some time aboard a very unique Houseboat - REI DE GAMBIARRA marks the ninth edition to Sleep Aboard’s fleet and tremendous care and thought have been taken to provide a unique experience aboard this rare Houseboat.
We offer parking for multiple cars in 24 seven offsite lot for free. We are located in the east side of Providence within the hurricane barrier. We are in a very protected marina which offers a safe and very convenient location. We are close to Manny Providence attractions including Brown University, Rhode Island school of design and Federal Hill.
