Positive: It was a few blocks from the Louvre and within a reasonable walking distance to the Halles shopping area.
Negative: We had to travel from Berlin to Paris by train due to circumstances beyond our control. There was a two hour delay mid journey because of a WWII bomb that was found near the tracks in Darmstadt. They charged us €90 to have someone let us in and give us our keys because of a late check-in when they could have easily had a key safe at the apartment. Check out was almost as bad. We had to move to the lobby and then I had to walk blocks to a grocery store, figure out how to use their key lockers and walk back to catch our Bolt to the train station. The elevator is very small. Three people at most. Two if you have large luggage. Not a deal breaker, but travelers should be aware. There is a larger freight elevator, but we didn't have the code for it. There was no air conditioner which we expected, but the fans were inadequate especially given how few outlets there were. Only one actually made a difference. It was very hot one day and we asked for another fan. They gave us one that didn't work. And again there weren't enough outlets to go around. The big red lamp in the living room was never plugged in. Their internet was spotty at best and the TV/cable didn't work during our entire stay. The mattress had what looked like a blood stain that was visible through the sheet and the sofa bed was uncomfortable for adult sleepers. The largest trashcan in the kitchen was smaller than a normal bathroom trash can. It was certainly not adequate for three adults staying for five nights. And the bathroom trash can looked like it would be at home in a doll house. It also looked like minimal upkeep and repairs have been made. There is a closet in the entry, but it was dirty and filled with junk. Overall, the apartment looked pretty worn and was in need of updating that goes beyond decorating with a few pieces from Ikea.
Summary: The ONLY reason to rent this apartment is the location.
