Positive: The hotel was amazing. Beautifully furnished and sympathetically renovated building with so many different sitting and chilling areas. It was luxurious and very comfortable. A real fire with sofas and great ambience welcomes you. A chill out area with picture window in the enormous bedroom and a bed to dream in. Julian was the absolute perfect host. I arrived late and had to leave at 4am. He got up and made me coffee and baked croissants and saw me out to my car. A real gentleman and went over and beyond to ensure my comfort and safety. I also left my small wallet there and he has been extremely helpful in getting it back to me. I travel extensively and the welcome from Julian and the homely comfort of the hotel was exceptional. I will definitely be staying again.
Negative: As I was driving from Monaco to Calais it was a very quick stop for a few hours sleep. I don’t like that I couldn’t stay a week and enjoy the hotel, facilities, and everything offered. There really is nothing to dislike.
Summary: The best hotel & welcome I have ever stayed in
