Positive: Charming – But Be Warned About After-Hours Access We really enjoyed our stay overall. This is a small, cozy hotel with a lot of charm. It is located a bit outside the city center, which makes it quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the service during regular hours was excellent.
Negative: However, one MAJOR ISSUE seriously affected our experience: after-hours access to the hotel. We were told in advance not to worry, that someone would be there for us no matter what time we returned. That gave us the confidence to go out and enjoy our night. But one night, we were COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT after 10 PM with no way to get in. We tried everything. We knocked, rang the bell, and called over 30 times, but no one answered. We waited and tried for OVER an hour. It was very stressful, especially because this was a girls-only trip, and being stranded alone late at night added real risk and unnecessary anxiety. “The next day, we were told it was a mistake from a new staff member” But again, we had asked in advance and were clearly told we would not have a problem. We managed to get help from close by friend we knew, but another guest had to leave and pay for a last-minute place to sleep at 2 AM. The hotel gave us a voucher, but since we live abroad and it is only valid for four months, it is not a useful solution.
Summary: Lovely hotel, friendly staff, peaceful location.
