Situated 10km away from the cliffs of Amalfi along hairpin bends overlooking spectacular views, Furore - an unspoiled village of scattered houses right above the Amalfi drive cliffs - is the alternative to the well-known seaside resorts of the Amalfi Coast. It represents a rural escape, not yet discovered by mass tourism and offers breathtaking views, typical craftsmanship and beautiful walking itineraries.
The terraced vineyards that produce the 'Furore doc' wine drop precipitously to the sea forming an impenetrable, deep rocky gorge, one of the most impressive natural features along this coastline. There are several churches, chapels and ancient ruins.
Casa Mera is a splendid three-storey villa on the top of a steep mountain overlooking the sea.
It is 200sqm in total and it sleeps 8 people into 2 separate and beautifully appointed houses, each with comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces. They can be rented either separately or together for a larger group of up to 8 people. They share a private swimming pool, a large terrace and a garden, all with a wide and splendid view of the sea and of the Amalfi Coast.
There is a total of four apartments in this property: three of them are rented and one is reserved for the owner who rarely occupies it.
The interiors are extremely bright and airy; they have been recently renovated and elegantly furnished with a mixture of traditional, elegant and modern furniture and fittings, to offer comfortable holiday accommodation.
The floors are tiled with majolica tiles with splendid designs and colours, hand-made by local artisans.
Moreover, those who like hiking will be able to easily reach the famous trail called 'Sentiero degli Dei' (Path of the Gods), the popular trekking route from Agerola towards Positano.
Casa Mera is accessed from street level going up a private walkway. Casa Mera Uno is 35 steps above street level while Casa Mera Due is reached climbing a further stairway of 15 steps for a total of 50 steps from street level.

The accommodation is roughly 90sqm inside and 10sqm of private terraces and balconies.
Main bedroom with double bed, windows and wall to wall glass sliding doors which lead onto a balcony and offer lovely sea views. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a Jacuzzi bath tub, washbasin and toilet. Both the bedroom and the bathroom are equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Second bedroom with double bed, air conditioning/heating unit and ceiling fan. French doors open onto a balcony with the same amazing sea view. Adjacent to the second bedroom is a bathroom which comprises a shower cubicle, washbasin and toilet . French doors lead onto a standing balcony with sea views.
Large living-dining room with dining table seating 4 people, Satellite TV, comfortable sofa with armchairs. The kitchen corner is fitted with 4 gas rings, electric oven, fridge with freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle.
From the living room, arched glass doors open onto a side terrace which enjoys sea views . The terrace is furnished with a dining table seating 4 people.
Other facilities: hairdryers in each bathroom, ironing facilities, Wi-Fi.
There is also roof terrace (approximately 290sqm) which offers magnificent views of steep cliffs that dive into the sea, covered by terraces with lemon groves and vineyards.
The terrace is partly shaded by a brickwork pergola and sun umbrellas under which are two dining tables with chairs and a BBQ. The area exposed to the sun is equipped with comfortable sun lounges and an outdoor shower.
This terrace is shared by all guests staying at the two apartments of the villa and can be reached along an external stairway of approximately 50 steps.
The swimming pool (7m x 5m, 2.5m average depth; open from beginning of May to end of September), is situated on the roof terrace of the building and is shared by all guests staying at the two apartments.
