Positive: Well, this review is tricky to me as nearly each disadventage had actually its opposite :) and I liked it although it was actually below some expectations. But I still I think it is a VERY GOOD PRICE FOR THE SERVICE. So, if you are tight on the budget, need a nice, cheap and quiet place to stay, this could reaaly be your option. LOCATION - good as it is close to the Plaza of Armas and the collectivo to Ollantaytambo. BUT it is on a noisy street and the closest market is some 3-4 blocks away, and there are no groceries near. BUT there are many pollerias on the street, as well. BREAKFAST - really simple - bread (tasty), butter, jam, juice and eggs (scrambled or fried). BUT the coffee is very good -they bring the essence in the small pot and the thermos of hot water so that you can adjust it it your taste. STAFF - veeeeeeeeeeeeery friendly - BUT they speak only Spanish - BUT...it is actually mentioned in the description on Booking - so should't be a surprise FACILITY - The facility is indeed OLD, so brace yourself for some inconvinience. Like the flow-through thermostat mounted directly on the shower nozzle ;) DOGS and CATS - yes, they are some animals, but they didn't bother me at all - some barking? yes, BUT really not too much
Negative: door lock - this is really iritating - each time you want to leave or enter, you need to call the receptionist which makes you unease PAYMENT - only cash (actually mentioned in the description on Booking, too - so should be no surprise) TV - althought it was included in my room, I didn't get it thoughout my 5 day stay (a decoder device missing)
