Summary: Spacious and Budget-Friendly, but Needs Updates and Better Communication Pros: Space & Value: The units are spacious with a nice second floor, offering an affordable option compared to pricier alternatives in the Canmore/Banff area. Comfort & Amenities: The beds are comfortable, and amenities like the hot tub are a nice bonus. Helpful Staff: The front desk attendant gave great restaurant and hiking tips, and the property manager was lovely and quick to help when our door lock malfunctioned. Cons: Outdated & Clunky Interior: The decor is extremely outdated, the patio furniture is cheap compared to neighboring properties, and the indoor furniture placement makes little sense. Check-in/Checkout Issues: Arrival instructions are confusing with no clear guidance on whether to visit the main office. Pre-arrival communication regarding a minor early drop-off was unfriendly and rigid. Additionally, the digital checkout button in the guest portal didn't work, and an email regarding this went unanswered for hours. Security Concerns: Our door's pin pad went offline completely, which was unsettling and required assistance to fix. Overall Verdict: It’s an okay, budget-friendly basecamp, but it desperately needs interior updates, more reliable smart locks, and a smoother check-in/checkout experience.
