Travel Purpose: business

Positive: It's a glamping accommodation with a good diversity of room options, communal spaces, and best of all was the dinner, which really made it a value play. Owner and staff members were great, local, informative and engaged. The view was fine, nothing special but nothing to scoff at. Our ensuite bathroom cabins were fully equipped with necessary cold weather appliances (kettle & heater), a comfortable bed and down cover. The coffee served in the main building was superb, a proper arabica-blend espresso.

Negative: The "cabins" with ensuite bathrooms were mediocre and very expensive compared to equivalent accommodation in rural Vietnam. What made them mediocre was general maintenance (our bathroom sink leaked directly to the floor beneath) and seeming total absence of hot water. I ran what I thought was the hot water heater for 05 minutes or longer without results, meanwhile having used similar in-line heaters for over a decade. I could just be stupid, so wall-mounted instructions would have been helpful. Breakfast was a downer, but that's an easy fix.
