Positive: The room was spotless, very comfortable, and surprisingly bright for a lower-ground floor space -- you could barely tell it was below the ground floor. The setup was great: a massive TV, desk, chair, and a cosy armchair in the corner. It was peaceful, well-lit, and felt like a calm space to relax. The shared bathroom was close by and easy to access, and seemed to be cleaned pretty regularly which was nice given that it was shared. The host and the neighbour were both friendly and welcoming and even helped with my suitcases. Very easily 9/10. Thank you!
Negative: The house dog barked a lot at strangers (me), which was a bit tough as I’m nervous around dogs. It's a small dog though so I guess it's probably harmless? There’s no microwave, admittedly it wasn’t listed in the ad and that was my oversight, but I had taken it for granted and found the lack quite inconvenient. The shower drained very slowly, which caused water to pool and left some staining in the tub. Still, the house is clearly well looked after overall and everyone was super nice, and I’d stay again.
