Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location by the river a stone's throw from Saklikent Canyon was great. Staff were welcoming and served delicious pomegranate juice while we checked in even though we were early. The place has the air of starting to be a little run down, however we could see that repairs had been made to the handrail outside our bungalow and we had decent sized towels and air conditioning etc. The approach to the complex looks like you are entering some kind of trailer park with rubbish and ramshackle bits and bobs around the place but once you arrive all is clean and tidy including the swimming pool. We ate at the restaurant on site and the food was good but nothing special. We appeared to be almost the only guests so it might have better atmosphere in high season. It was reasonable value for money.
Negative: A few creature comforts were missing e.g. tea and coffee making facilities in the bungalow room (No.21), no TV and the WC/toilet was a small wet-room so not particularly practical as everything got wet and there was nowhere to hang anything. This was not helped by the basin having a small leak. The shower spray was not working only the tap at thigh level. When I mentioned this in the morning I was told I could have used the shower block 40m away! We had a disturbed night with revving motorbikes and what sounded very much like gunshot at 1am and 3am although the staff insisted they were fireworks from a neighbouring property.
