Grizzly Bear Cottage is an incredible luxury two-story home with four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a cozy sitting room with a wood-burning fireplace, an incredible gourmet kitchen, a mudroom with dog wash, laundry room and pantry, a wrap-around verandah with a barbecue and table for outdoor dining, office/library and walkout basement complete with a pool table, bar and patio for entertaining.
The Cottage is a private, gated guest house nestled in a secluded valley among old-growth spruce trees on 20 acres of natural forest on the banks of Fish Creek. It is part of a larger 80-acre property, including the main house, an equestrian barn, arenas, and horse paddocks.
From the patio or balcony of the Cottage, you can listen to the sound of the creek and the multitude of birds living there. You may also see deer, elk, moose, and the occasional fox wandering through the property. Guests are welcome to explore the property, which includes the creek, forest, ponds, and walking trails. They may also enjoy a fire by the creek or a wood-burning fireplace inside on cooler evenings.
Grizzly Bear Cottage is only used as a guest house. It is completely furnished with all linens for sleeping and bathing and utensils, glassware and dishes for cooking. It also has games, puzzles and books for relaxing or enjoying friends and family. The Cottage includes special features such as ensuite bathrooms in every bedroom and walk-in closets. The primary bedroom is equipped with a large dressing room complete with a wet bar, a balcony with outdoor fire place and an incredible bathroom with a clawfoot tub and steam shower. The mudroom is attached to the heated two-car garage. The laundry room includes a large washer, dryer, and sink. Upstairs there is a small office area and library. The Cottage has outdoor chairs, a table, and a barbeque for al fresco dining, enjoying a coffee in the morning or stargazing.
The property is 100% non-smoking (including inside and outside on the grounds). Pets are welcome. This property is suitable for children as long as they are supervised near the creek. Only registered guests may enter the property up to a maximum of 6 people (i.e.) no outside guests, and due to privacy, we do not allow events such as weddings, etc. The Cottage is about 15 minutes from Spruce Meadows/Calgary and 22 minutes from Bragg Creek.
