Summary: The room was clean, spacious, and well equipped. However, there was a small internal room accessed from inside the bathroom with a loosely locked door, which felt unsafe and unsettling at night. The building has no elevator. The surrounding neighborhood was dirty, with garbage on the streets, and felt unsafe; there were people loitering and drinking outside. Check-in was listed as 15:00 and check-out at 10:00, but after booking I was informed check-in would only be possible after 16:00 due to cleaning, resulting in a very short stay for a full night’s charge. Although payment was completed through Hotels.com, an €80 credit-card pre-authorization was required to receive the access codes. Twelve days after checkout, the amount has still not been released, and my bank confirmed it is not a banking issue. Communication with the host was limited to WhatsApp and slow; a question about parking fees was only answered after checkout.
