Positive: Hobatere is a very Unique lodge in the middle of what seems like its own Park. I Actually saw More animals at the water hole beside the Lodge having a G&T that I did in Etosha. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is great. The Safari's that they offer are like any other place, a Morning and an Afternoon session, although they also do a late afternoon (so Dark) drive where you see things you just wouldn't see during the day and the Guides are just Incredible.

Negative: I worked this out that I was paying 270 Euros a Night to stay there and I compared this with other places I had stayed and its too Much per night. I am going to be constructive in saying that I worry about the Future of the lodge as it was sold back in May 2025 and is now owned as a Co-Operative by (I believe) the staff that run it. This place needs a Cash Injection!! Certainly if they want to charge what they are charging a night. There is no Airconditioning and the fan in the room has 1 speed, the on / off switch and its runs slow. I don't know how to say this in any other way but it looks like a lot of things have been patched just to get the next Guests in and its a REAL shame!! Taps in the shower... they obviously need replacing but were just tied up instead with plumbers tape. I also sent 4 messages to Hobatere through Booking.com which they didn't reply to, I wanted to know what Safaris they offered and what the prices were in advance. I then took an email from their website and emailed them... no reply. There is no Internet connection in the Rooms (but you don't go to this sort of place to surf the web). The connection is also pretty bad and its down more than its up. People shouldn't take my experience as a reason not to go here as you will see Animals here that you do NOT see in Etosha... its a Wonderful place to stay but Just be prepared to be disappointed by the price you pay, also not Tea or Coffee in the rooms
