Positive: Booked a room which also had a sofa bed - very spacious with entry lobby with separate doors to the bathroom and bedroom. Hotel was well located right on the edge of Mikulov old town centre. Mikulov is a lovely place to visit. Hotel has been done up very nicely, but really all you will use is your room. We did have an issue with the air conditioning but it was very quickly resolved after sending an email via the digital check in service.

Negative: I did not do my research so was not expecting the “no staff” approach although the check in and digital door access worked well. Room also had a small kitchenette which was useful but the fridge was useless. Can’t rate the staff as there were none. Breakfast choices were all much the same and not really my thing and the “drip” coffee offered didn’t have much coffee in it.

Summary: Loved Mikulov. Room was very good but is this a hotel or a pension?
