Summary: Hotel Funicolare Review The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the location is absolutely wonderful, with a dreamlike view that is definitely the highlight of the hotel. That said, the hotel itself feels quite dated. The carpet in the room was in need of a deep clean, and the bathroom had not been cleaned to the standard I would expect. The shower and taps were covered in limescale. The corridors and reception area also felt rather old and unwelcoming, and could definitely benefit from some renovation and better maintenance. Having said all that, the price was fair for what the hotel offers. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for just one night, I think it is a perfectly reasonable choice, especially if you are willing to overlook the dated interiors for that dream view. The location and scenery really are the hotel’s biggest advantages.
