Reviewer Type: Solo Traveller

Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The staff was very friendly and communicative. Everything was very clean. Although at the end of the road and out of the village, the house is on the path to the peak of Mt. Valamara.

Negative: This place is a wonderful guesthouse/mountain hut, but it isn't a hotel! Do not be mistaken by the name! It is lacking the accessibility and the professional handling of the reception which are part of the definition of a hotel. The access to the house is done on a 25 km mountain dirt road, which becomes worse the closer you get to the destination. The house is run more like a hobby or side activity, and the family running it still doesn't understand how the booking website and concept behind it operate.

Summary: A wonderful guesthouse which is not a hotel, in spite of the name
