Positive: It's a very nice place, quite different and definitely unique! Set in the hilly area of San Miguel, so be prepared for some very steep inclines! We were grateful for the air conditioning as it was extremely hot during our stay. We enjoyed the "Thermal" underground pool, so relaxing! The breakfast was nice, quite simple but adequate, eaten in the little patio area. The room was lovely, the bed nice and big, the comfort level was ok. We also appreciated the help we were given to arrange a taxi when we left, thanks!
Negative: We felt there were a few too many rules/do's and dont'ts such as you're not supposed to dry your bathing suit on your terrace! In fact, it would be a great idea to have a folding clothes rack provided for this purpose. It would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, it was a bit exorbitant to have to pay for a cuppa that you had to make yourself in the 'bar' room. Also, a fridge provided in the room would be helpful, considering the hotel is fairly isolated it would have been nice to be able to have a snack etc in the fridge but another rule states "no food in the rooms"!
