Summary: The previous good reviews all seem to be a few years old and this property is looking very tired. It is a delightful historic cottage but the lounges are old and sagging and the tv was not working well during our stay. The beds are comfortable and the facilities clean but it was expensive and not really what we expected. The bbq shed is a pleasant outdoor area. There are horses but no chickens anymore so no fresh breakfast supplies provided. Beware that the horses on the property bite and should not be approached. My husband was bitten quite badly and his shirt ripped which really frightened our little grandchildren. The valley is beautiful and there are lovely spots to visit close by. 5 stars for the environment but 3 stars for the cottage.
