Itchingstone Cottage is a delightful 300 year old stone cottage in the quiet rural hamlet of Trevia on the outskirts of Camelford. Its name originates from the granite post on the front path used as a scratching post by cows as they travelled from one field to another! Just a quick 10 minute drive to the dramatic and beautiful north Cornwall coastline, it is perfect for two couples or a family looking for a warm, cosy and peaceful traditional Cornish cottage. It is full of character with beams, original flagstone floors, a large inglenook granite fireplace with a wood burner, and a well equipped farmhouse style kitchen/dining room with an Aga and pine dining table. In the Spring / Summer it is a bright, beautiful cottage to come back to after a day out at the coast, and on those colder days it is the perfect place to get cosy by the fire or the Aga.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are well decorated and feature brass bedsteads, extremely comfortable mattresses and classic, soft white sheets. The main bathroom features a double-ended roll-top bath, whilst downstairs the shower room has a double sized enclosure with a large overhead drench shower.

The cottage is perfectly positioned for touring the whole of Cornwall. Just 10 minutes from the beautiful South West Coastal Path with its stunning walks, magnificent views, surfing, sea fishing, and outstanding beaches. The closest beach is Trebarwith Strand; a great surfing and family beach with a café, shops and pub. The popular coastal villages of Port Isaac (made famous by Doc Martin) and beaches; Polzeath, Padstow, Rock, Daymer Bay, Tintagel (with legends of King Arthur), and Boscastle are all only a short drive away. Further afield are the surfing beaches of Bude and Newquay. Also within easy driving distance are the sub-tropical gardens at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, several National Trust sites including Lanhydrock (also great for mountain biking) and the world famous Eden Project education centre and music venue.
