Positive: This is a great place to stay for a few days, with a few exceptions one has to be aware of (see below). We loved the cozy feel of the house and the sunny terrace overlooking the lake. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and cleaning (if you decide to do the cleaning yourself) and there is even a washing machine/dryer in the apartment. It was very quiet at night. There is a coop (grocery store) a 3 min drive away. The moose park is very close, and there are beautiful running /walking trails through forest to two small lakes very close by. The pools which are part of the property were very clean, and despite the summer season not crowded. Loved the fact that there were two hot whirl pools in addition to the regular pools. The Minigolf corse is also great!
Negative: - the two extra beds where the kids were sleeping was extremely uncomfortable, very thin and extremely cheap looking simple foam mattress. The beds were not prepared when we arrived, which surprised me because I had booked for 4 people. The queen bed wasn’t very comfortable either. - the sofa bed which we thought could be an alternative to the extra beds could not be mounted to a sofa bed, due to a technical problem (ikea?) - WiFi did not work in our house. It got fixed on the third day - the staff generally seemed uninterested. There was rubbish on the floor of the changing room next to the pool. Two days later, the exact same rubbish was still there. No one cared to remove it. Dirty/used towels from other guests were lying in front of our house. No one from the staff cared to take them away.
Summary: A great place to stay in Kosta, if the staff cared a bit more and if the beds were more comfortable it would be perfect
