RECENTLY RENOVATED by SF firm - Custom built 4500 square foot home with incredible amenities. It is located at Northstar with a backdrop of majestic mountains. The home is situated on a private golf course and is an 8 minute drive to the town of Truckee and a 10 minute drive to the famed Lake Tahoe.
The main floor features a chef's kitchen with Viking, Gagganeau and True appliances; a dining room that comfortably seats 14; a large deck with a gas BBQ and an outdoor dining table that makes you feel as if you are floating amongst Aspen Trees; an all wood paneled, state of the art media room as well as the Great Room with 20-foot ceilings and a 15- foot stone, wood burning fireplace.
The second floor houses an additional open space family room with Apple TV, Netflix, Xbox, PS5 and also has an air hockey table. A Peloton is also located in this space. This floor has two bedrooms and two bathrooms - both with king size beds.
The lower floor has a sauna room and the two primary suites both with king size beds. There is a steam shower as well. The lower patio features a hot tub, additional deck chairs and a flat grassy area. There is a free 3 minute shuttle that offers door to door service from the house to the Village, Gondola and Chair lift. There is access to a private gym, tennis courts and pool. It has custom furniture, internet, Sonos and is Nest operated. Movies. Games. Bikes. Books. Puzzles. Sleds and so much more.
It is impossible to say which is better Summer or Winter. Winter offers skiing/snow-boarding right at your doorstep and there are 5 other ski resorts (including the famed Squaw Olympic Mountain) within the vicinity. Ice skate and listen to live music while eating fresh made s’mores apres ski compliments of the village! While Northstar offers daily Champagne Toasts right on the mountain; tubing and some of the best runs for tricks and jumping, Borreal has night skiing and Alpine/Squaw offers dog sledding at sunset.
Summer can’t be beat with boating and water sports on Lake Tahoe which often resembles a Caribbean like color. You can water ski, wakeboard, inner tube, paddle board and jet ski all day long! There is downhill mountain biking right at your feet for the extra daring and hiking for the leisure walker as well as for the professional. River rafting and ATVs are a call away and there is miniature golf, bungee jumping and nature camp for the kids right at the village. You can golf, swim, play tennis and there is a fantastic zipline and ropes course only moments away.
If you love music, Tahoe offers many music venues year-round and of course there is gambling on the Nevada side if Black Jack is your thing.
