Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Good location, nice and quiet at night (which given the traffic was brilliant!). Comfy beds, lovely housekeeping staff. There's a nice park opposite which is lovely for a walk. There's also a restaurant called Maran which is a stones throw from the hotel which did lovely food. Robes included which was helpful for the pool!

Negative: You have to pay an extra 100TL for a swim cap for the pool which booking.com didn't let us know. The pool was freezing - which we found odd for an indoor pool! When we first used the jacuzzi it wasn't working due to a technical fault, it did then eventually work on day 3 of our stay. Breakfast was only OK - there was some choice, but not much western style food. Something we found quite bizarre was that you weren't informed about their boat - we saw it on the river, but there wasn't any advertising of boat trips etc. The information we needed (times for breakfasts etc.) also wasn't to be found anywhere in the room - you got told this once when you checked in and then nowhere else mentioned it (that we could see!). For a 5* hotel, it didn't quite live up to expectations sadly.
