Positive: This is a pleasant property, although I can't quite call it lovely. The unit was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with nice linens. The towels were very thick and plush. There was a blowdryer available. Most of the property was as promised. There are two underground stations nearby within 10 and 15 minutes walking distance and ready access to buses. The unit has a small dining table with stools. There was a nice quality toaster in the kitchen and a microwave. The kitchen is fairly spacious for a small apartment with lots of counter space. The appliances were good quality and very clean. There was a very nice TV and we were able to login to my Netflix account so we had plenty of entertainment when we needed it. The neighborhood is very dynamic with lots of ethnic fast food, cafes, and restaurants. There are lots of people around late into the evening; it felt very safe. There are several small grocery stores nearby so if you need to get food or other items it is very convenient. This is not a fancy place but it met our needs as tourists who were gone most of the day out sightseeing.
Negative: There are some items that could be improved to make the unit a truly lovely experience. The lavatory sink had a kitchen size faucet which doesn't look good in that space. There was no drain cover in the sink which should be replaced (kind of gross to look at). The shower was really nice but it doesn't drain well and the base fills with water while it's being used. The lavatory doorknob was not attached in the inside and kept falling off. The dishwasher plastic fascia was torn on the front. The dishwasher couldn't be opened completely because the washer was in the way. There is no dryer and no obvious place to hang clothes to dry. There are very few kitchen tools so if you want to cook you have to improvise a lot. There were adequate pots and pans and nice knives, but a spatula and a wine opener would be nice. One of the overhead lights was out near the bed. I would also recommend a freestanding toilet paper holder to replace the plastic corner unit which sits on the toilet area floor and takes up unnecessary space. No instructions were provided for the oven, range, and microwave which would have been helpful. The washer has a QR code that links to the users manual. Some of these issues are aesthetic and may not bother some people but I think it's good to be aware of what to expect. With a small investment, I think this studio could be a very lovely and a memorable vacation rental.
