Positive: This was literally the nicest place we have ever stayed, and we travel a lot. The house itself is beautiful with an amazing kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms, but the best part was the extra touches. The host Sebastiano said it was meant to inspire creativity, and it certainly did! The kids loved the reading nets and we loved the hammocks, and there were a ton of other touches to inspire (book collection, bikes for the kids, decorations, etc.). Mt. Etna was erupting when we were there and Sebastiano invited us to his balcony to see the lava flows, it was amazing. He also provided great recommendations for hikes and other things to do. We just wish we could have stayed longer. The only issue is that the eruption resulted in a cancelled flight. I would never plan to fly out of Catania again, it's worth it to fly out of Palermo to avoid the volcano!

Summary: The best place we have ever stayed
