Summary: Imagine traveling from 3 am until 4 pm, arriving at your VRBO, then not being able to get into the house. We entered the code to the Schlag lock system multiplel times over 5-10 minutes, trying to get the door open Contacted the Vacasa 'host' (and I use that term loosely) generated another code (taking about 5 minutes). Then we tried again. Nope. After about 10 minutes we were given the code to a lock box (like realtors use), got the key out and tried again and again and again. FINALLY jiggled and turned the keyhole dealie back and forth until the key could unlock the door. We dealt back and forth for several days of our stay with the "host" without resolution. We dreaded getting back to the house each day and having to fiddle and pray to the key lock gods to help us get in. One day I had to pee in the back yard while husband fiddled with the lock. I told the 'host' we would have to leave a window unlocked to get in and out. Identified a window that might work and found it was ALREADY UNLOCKED, which told me that the last visitors probably actually used this window to get in and out (I can think of other reasons why it was already unlocked). ....... The lock situation was sad because the house is great. While the location was not near downtown Flagstaff it worked for us. Let us know if you get the door lock fixed.
