Positive: Host mohammed and his wife were very kind. Mohammed organised trips for us. He organised for us to be picked up at the door by mules and taken to the monastery. A once in a lifetime trip. He can also organise an overnight stay in a cave, another must. We were treated like VIPs throughout. The home felt very safe, I appreciated the more quieter, real traditional village of Bedouin people. The villagers made me feel really welcome. Because I was staying with Mohammed, who is known to be a good person, supermarkets gave me local prices. From here you can walk into Petra. You can enjoy looking at the moon, stars and Petra mountains from the stunning balcony. The place is extremely clean, well decorated and has the most incredible shower. The shower has a rain shower, jets and a handheld hose, brilliant to use after a day at Petra. We had four nights here, if you really want to understand Bedouin families, stay here. His grandfather, him and cousins look after the camels of the treasury, the shop and cafe. Mohammed gave excellent information of Petra and made sure that our trip was perfect! I trust his advice and he gave this help from his heart. We were given space to relax and enjoy peace after busy days touring Petra. For a small extra cost, his wife can make you the most delicious traditional food tailored around your choice. His children are delightful and extremely well behaved. The house is very beautiful and quiet. I nicknamed it the palace of Mohammed. Mohammed has dedicated his life to looking after his whole family and all the visitors of Petra. Please come to stay here, please book the mule ride to the monastery with Mohammed and Abdullah with mules Shakira and Michael Jackson. Mohammed was not only an excellent host but his family ensured we were safe and had an excellent time.
