Our carefully designed cottage is the ultimate outdoor getaway, central to many of the adventures found in the Comox Valley. Perfect for: family fun, couple’s ski retreat, sledding, mountain biking, checking out the popular swimming holes near by, salmon/trout fishing, star gazing, forest walks and plenty of other activities for up to 6 Guests!
The space
THE SURROUNDINGS
Nestled on the forest’s edge at the back of a 2-acre property in the Nymph Falls Nature Park area, you’ll have plenty of space for sprawling out and enjoying the fresh forest air in privacy. Host’s main house is on the property with enough distance and natural separation to give guests/hosts privacy, as houses are not visible from each other’s view. Get ready to take in clear night skies full of brilliant constellations from the extra large front porch, upper deck or private, covered hot tub at back.
The former Forbidden Plateau ski resort, is just 15 minutes up the road which is popular both in summer for mountain biking/hiking and winter alike for all your outdoor winter activities. Cumberland is 15 minutes away by car with an extensive mountain bike trail system for all skill levels and Comox Lake for fishing/boating and swimming. You could also just head out from our property to enjoy the beautiful trail system at Nymph falls park and some of the popular swimming holes on the Puntledge river. Mount Washington ski resort is only 25 minutes away and downtown Courtenay is 15 minutes by car.
THE AMMENITIES
Our cottage is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and heated tile floors. Also included is a microwave and keurig coffee maker. After enjoying your outdoor adventures, decamp to the family room for a movie night or cozy up with the gas fireplace. This comfy space includes a flat screen TV with Telus Optik and access to Netflix, YouTube along with high speed Internet/wifi.
There are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa in the family room. Windows in bedrooms have black out coverings and downstairs windows have dual black out/sheer window coverings. The bathroom is on main floor with full bath tub/shower combo also with a heated floor. House also offers AC during the hot summer days.
Parking area is equipped with an electric car charger with a 24 foot power cord and water hose to rinse off your bikes when temperature is above freezing level. There is enough room for multiple cars and can accommodate your fishing boat.
As much as we love furry friends, we are unfortunately not accepting dogs at this time.
