Positive: Podere Sant’Elena is a little gem just outside San Gimignano. So cozy, comfortable and clean rooms, calm surroundings, really good breakfast, nice pool area. It also has a great view, looking over the fields and towards the city. It is run by the nicest and kindest people you can find. Me and a friend of mine stayed there for four days in October, and we would have loved to stay there longer. Perfect for adults looking for a calm break from everyday life. Will definitely recommend friends and family to stay here, and would really want to come back here myself some day in the future. It is about a 30 minute walk to the city center of San Gimignano, where you can find a lot of good restaurants and cozy shops, so perfect for a little walk before and after dinner for people who’s in normal shape since the landscape goes a bit down and up on the way there and back. Would absolutely recommend having a rental car or booking a driver before coming here though, since it’s a small community with not a lot of taxi drivers or buses around.
Summary: Would love to come back here.
