Enjoy New Buffalo in a recently renovated (2018) cottage blocks from the town with no detail spared in a home that is the perfect mix of vintage charm and modern luxury.
As you enter from the large private fenced yard (newly updated in 2022) which includes a heated pool, patio, yard, grilling area, fire pit, and gazebo, you're greeted with the sundrenched sunroom with plenty of seating and tables to enjoy coffee in the morning or play board games in the evening. At night, watch the stars while roasting marshmallows on the fire pit or relax under the lights of the gazebo. Entering into the dining room you'll find a custom made dining table to match the decor of the vintage church bench leading into the renovated fully stocked kitchen. Eat breakfast in the dining area, on the sunroom porch or outside on the custom stenciled patio overlooking the pool before lounging in the pool or visiting the local breweries and wineries. The main floor includes a living room with window bench, a queen size sofa bed, anlarge flat screen tv, a full bathroom and separate laundry room and 2 bedrooms (each with a Queen bed)
Heading upstairs you'll find the finished attic and great room complete with original floors and planked shiplap style ceilings, a 3rd bedroom with Queen and tv, and a full bathroom. As you enter the upstairs, tucked to the left is a convertible Queen daybed with sliding privacy curtain making it seem like a 4th room, turning the corner you'll find a twin bed, a cozy nook with a 2nd twin as well as a full daybed with a pullout twin trundle all within view of the large flat screen tv. The beds are tucked away in quaint nooks so while being in one room it also feels like a private space and each room upstairs has it's own mitsubishi heating and cooling system to set the perfect temperature for each preference. There is also an additional queen blow up bed available. All beds are brand new with comfort and luxury in mind. There is an extra fridge in the garage.
The property overlooks a wooded lot and the park where you can escape the hustle of the city and watch the deer that frequent the yard while being within walking distance of New Buffalo shops and restaurants. Across the street you’ll find a playground, hill, track, tennis and pickleball courts and a skateboard park. During the winter months an ice skating rink and sledding is available. A dog park is right around the corner. Beer Church brewery is a quick stumble home. With a variety of seating areas throughout the yard, there's room for everyone to enjoy.
All TVs are smart TVs with cable/HBO/Netflix/Roku etc. The garage includes as many pool floats as you could imagine as well as bikes to ride into town and games throughout the house. The home is well stocked so you can leave everything at home, from beach towels and toys, to kitchen gadgets, to linens and toiletries to grilling utensils for the Weber Grill. Aside from Wifi, there's even a desk area with wireless printer in case you need to do some last minute work. As discerning travelers, everything is geared to make your stay as comfortable as possible, whether for a family escape or girls wine weekend.
Please note: while there is bedding for 12-14, please consider the layout which includes 3 smaller bedrooms- best suited for families with children or a smaller girls trip. The garage is currently being used for storage.
We are conveniently located 1.2 miles from the beach, 0.3 miles from Redamaks, 0.5 miles from downtown New Buffalo shops and restaurants as well as a few miles from Four Winds Casino or a quick drive to the Warren Dunes and/or Michigan City Prime Outlets. Notre Dame is only a 40 min drive and Chicago is a little over an hour drive or train ride.
Whether antiquing, doing a winery or brewery tour, taking the bike trails, exploring the shops and beach, and/or simply relaxing by the pool we have something for everyone!
Well behaved dogs are considered with prior approval.
