Positive: The location was great. The unit had a nice view of the ocean, and getting to the beach was just quick walk over a dune. The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen seemed well stocked, although we did not cook. There were some beach chairs and an umbrella, which was an unexpected bonus since these had not been listed in the description. We did not try the pool, but it looked nice and well kept.
Negative: The main problem was the communication with VACASA. The emails and text exchanges seemed automated and not specific to the unit. Information inside the unit (of which there was very little, contradicted what was communicated in emails and texts concerning linens in the checkout procedure). I got quite the run-around when I asked about late checkout. There was supposed to have been an email 2 days prior to checkout if late checkout was available, but even though the unit was vacant for the night we were checking out, I did not receive an email. I texted with someone who could not understand what I was asking about so I spoke to someone on-site in the VACASA office at check in, and although they confirmed the unit was eligible, they were unable to handle the late checkout I requested - I had to call an automated line, and speak to someone who again said I should have gotten an email the day before, and when I said I didnโ€™t, they had to check with โ€œmanagementโ€ to approve the late check out. It was crazy.
