Positive: Surinder, the owner, was lovely – friendly, welcoming, knowledgable and proactive at communicating and suggesting activities. Booking the tiger safari through him made the entire thing very smooth, and he even drove us to that and other bookings (the latter for a fee). The location was beautiful, the whole camp setup very appealingly presented. The food was generally great (except the chips, which were undercooked).
Negative: Unfortunately, the staff member who was our main point of contact barely left us alone. It was as if he was on commission to get us to order as much food as possible, which wore our patience very thin. Despite messaging him with our food orders, and him confirming them in person immediately afterwards multiple times, he then still got a lot wrong. We wanted peace, and didn't get it. Despite the pleasantness of the surroundings, it was incredibly noisy with loud dance music from neighbouring properties on both the evenings we spent there. The power in the bathroom kept going out, meaning we had to use our phone torches more often than not. And if you're planning to work with wifi, please bear in mind that it's weak and patchy. We'd also been looking forward to using the pool, but that sadly didn't look clean or well maintained enough for us to risk.
Summary: A great owner-host but otherwise a disappointing stay
