Summary: Refugio del Volcan is situated right outside of the busy part of San Pedro, so it is super quiet and peaceful. It’s also gated making it feel very secure. We felt comfortable leaving our windows and front door open. Being outside of town means you must either walk or get a tuk tuk, so be prepared for that. The walk up to the villas is quite steep and a bit laborious. There is no lighting, so you’ll need a phone or headlamp to guide your way. The villa was plenty big and clean. We were disappointed there wasn’t a coffee maker for mornings - restaurants and cafes aren’t close. Overall, we happy with the stay.
