Positive: it's very cheap. the owner is nice.
Negative: I've been to different places in Africa, and the electricity go on and off. But they usually have backup batteries, basically for use fan at night. I think if you have guests, with this hot weather, five hours without a fan, in a room with little airflow, is very difficult to sleep. Besides, their running water is tied to the electricity. So, if you don't have electricity, you don't have running water. It's quite inconvenient. It's cheap, and the place is also humble. The apartment wasn't done with much care. The wiring, the decor—it's all very poorly done. The mattress is low quality. Several days before my arrival, I asked for a photo of the building so I could easily recognize it upon arrival, but he never sent it. So the taxi driver had to call him to find out exactly where it was. That made my arrival a bit difficult.
