Positive: The owners Jerome & Leo are very kind. They are proactive. The apartment is spacious and in a very nice and safe area. Parking is free between 12 am - 9 am. Rest of the day €2,- an hour. The kitchen is clean and the bathroom has a rainfall shower. That the apartment is a little bit on the lower deck did not bother at all. At the time of booking I was concerned we would feel suffocated, cause it would be a bit lower then street level, but cause of the many windows, daylight, the big space, light walls etc the apartment was great. The 3 beds are big and every bed came with 4 towels. The kitchen is very complete (plastic bags, paper towels etc.) There is shampoo and handsoap, liquid for dishes by hand, but they also left dishwasher detergent. The tv works, shows varity of channels, has many apps installed (obviously those you have to connect with your own user account) and it has also some children programs. There was always parking in front of the apartment available. Neighbour was kind, saw us struggling and came to help out with the lockbox (have to slide up the black cover). Wifi worked great. Every bed has on the both sides sockets to get electra and a table. Every bed has a light for reading and a bigger light. I didn't expect the apartment to be this good. It was really great. Had all the basics, spacious, safe area, clean and great for those who are exploring Berlin.
Negative: The mattresses were very soft. This is so soft that I felt like I didn't get enough support, but I have to say that I woke up every morning fine. No back ache. This is, of course, personal preference. Not something that they can arrange😉. Truly, everything was good. I was missing a curtain in the living room. But also that didn't bother much, as the window was from the outside a bit covered. Truly, the apartment was great. 1 of the high sockets was not covered. The closing plug cover was missing. For adults, there is no issue. For curious little children, this is a bit dangerous (but in general, all plugs are actually). With some transparent tape, this open socket (and all other plugs, no matter what apartment/ house) can be covered by a mom or dad🙂. I would definitely book this apartment again for our stay in Berlin.
