Besides, nature reserves as Fondotoce, Sacri Monti di Ghiffa, Orta and Domodossia are easily reached from the residence. Other things to do are surfing, swimming, diving, canoe and sailing. You can also rent a motorboat and pay a visit to the wonderful gardens and picturesque fisherman houses at the Borromee Islands. For instance: the Palazzo Borromeo on the island of Bella. The Lake Maggiore is also famous because of its infinite gardens of 16th and 17th century villaโs, like Villa Taranto in Verbania. This is home to the largest botanical garden, containing rare plants, in Europe. Special tour guides are available at the reception of the holiday site.
