Summary: We chose this property for a quick getaway to celebrate a birthday. It was a good choice. The house is well-appointed and very cozy. With one bathroom, it was perfect for the two of us although there were beds for four more. We appreciated the dog-friendliness of the house and the neighborhood. It rained most of the time we were there, but we were so comfortable that the rain only added to the charm and coziness. We had one evening when the clouds parted in the late afternoon, so we were treated to one of the famous, spectacular Albemarle Sound sunsets that we had heard so much about. We also spent a delightful day exploring the nearby town of Edenton. The only concerns we had were that the property is not ADA compliant (we are both in our 70s), and, although the outdoor decks are spacious and well furnished, nothing is covered, offering no shelter from rain or sun. Another thing that we found curious is that there is a spectacular grill on the deck, but no option for outdoor dining.
