With a magnificent location, looking out over the harbor and the River Dart, right in the heart of Dartmouth, this 17th-century building offers bright, airy rooms, free Wi-Fi and a stylish restaurant. Privately owned, the award-winning Royal Castle Hotel has a great location, in the center of the pretty town of Dartmouth, with its cobbled streets, intriguing shops and world-famous restaurants and bars. Rooms are en suite, and all of them are unique and individually decorated. Many of the rooms have river views, four-poster beds and spa baths. Every room has a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. With wonderful views out over the river, our restaurant offers delicious food made from the best, freshest produce available locally. The hotel also has 2 bars: the contemporary Harbor bar and the more traditional Galleon bar. Both bars have real open log fires burning in the winter.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent. We also had sunday lunch and a smaller lunch on sat both also very good

Negative: Car parking is not available and the park and ride is not great, some sort of scheme where you could pay for a pass for the nearby carpark would be good
