Positive: The villa was the best holiday property we have ever stayed in. The interior was clean and bright and very well equipped with books, games and a very good kitchen. Good beds and aircon. The exterior was spacious, well tended and beautiful. Wonderful and very clean pool, extremely private and secluded and lovely panoramic views of mountain and sea. Extremely relaxing. We were welcomed warmly by the Kardasis family, who made clear not only their pride in the villa, but how important it was to them that their guests had a wonderful time there. We received home-cooked food (delicious!) on arrival, fruit, honey, olive oil… just really thoughtful touches that elevated the holiday even further. Whilst the property had good access to Rethymno, we particularly like Panormos just 10 minutes up the road…the small cobbled centre, pavement restaurants and waterside bars and eateries were lovely. Overall, travel around Crete was good with easy access to the Route 90 highway.
Negative: There were no issues of any significance.
Summary: A wonderful villa and brilliant experience all round… exceeded all expectations.
