Many migratory bird species use Parish Wood for both shelter and food. They include goldcrests, pied and spotted flycatchers, warblers, finches, thrushes, and woodcocks. Scarborough, a larger town not far away, is home to the UK's first and only waterpark of its kind, the Alpamare Waterpark, and a plethora of other attractions.
