Playa Grande's best BEACH House location with the classic free form pool, is nestled within the Las Baulas National Park and only a few steps to Costa Rica's finest Beach. A short walk to the Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge, 4 excellent Restaurants, Mini Market, and the Water Taxi to Tamarindo. Playa Grande is the major nesting Beach for the endangered Leatherback Turtle.
This magical, tropical hideaway is a traditional Costa Rican, Spanish Colonial, two bedroom beach house, with Frank Lloyd Wright-styled, wooden French doors and windows. This charming , classic, casa is artfully decorated and is very comfortable, clean, quiet, and relaxing. Each air-conditioned bedroom has it's own private full bathroom. The king-size beds are topped with luxurious feather beds and comforters with fresh duvets. All linens are excellent, high quality cotton. The Kitchen and Living Room is spacious and airy with high ceilings detailed with beautiful local hardwoods and plenty of sun-drenched windows.
The large outdoor covered patio/porch is classically tiled and perfect for lounging and dining. It overlooks a beautifully designed private pool that has been described by the locals as 'The Sexiest Pool in Playa Grande,” and the therapeutic Jacuzzi jets guarantee stress free pool time. The property is totally surrounded by the natural tropical dry forest which offers a Private Paradise for guests and the many exotic birds, butterflies, and other flora and fauna that call this cozy casita their home.

Summary: We just returned from our second stay at this beautiful casita. It was an excellent stay and we will return. Playa Grande is one of the most beautiful, uncrowded beaches we've visited. We appreciated the location of this house even more this visit. It's a quick walk to the beach but just far enough down from the beach access path that we didn't have lots of parked cars in front of the house or foot traffic, like houses right by the path deal with. The yard is so serene and beautiful and all the gorgeous foliage makes so much shade that the temperature seems to drop by 10 degrees as soon as you enter the gate, a welcomed respite from the beach where shade is scarce.We just love the pool and the yard and the casita has everything we need for our family of four. Mike lives a short drive away and is extremely responsive and available if you need help with anything. That peace of mind made our stress-free vacation even more relaxing.Our 10 year old did a surf lesson with Surf Camp down the road and it was a very good experience. We ate at all our favorites again, including Pots and Bowls and Rip Jack. All excellent. You just can't go wrong booking a stay here!
