Total tranquility in the heart of the preserved wine-growing countryside of the Haut Mâconnais, both urban & rural, nestled in the hollow of a bucolic valley of vineyards & meadows dominated by the wooded ridges of the vast surrounding wild forests, in a protected area in ZNIEFF for its floral & faunal riches. Spacious gîte with very good comfort. Large rooms & beautiful volumes. Warm country character enhanced by the exotic soul, a bit "retro", of an old opulent residence as by a careful heritage restoration (exceptional cement tile floors, molded doors, beams including one "dated", marble fireplace mantels, stone sink, original terracotta tiles...). Huge charm & character. Intimate enclosed garden (500m² with its courtyard) nestled behind historic stone walls, with a pleasantly shaded garden furniture under a plane tree "more than a hundred years old".
