Enjoy boating and fishing on nearby Nantahala Lake, known for its pristine waters at 3,000 feet elevation. From Running Creek Cabin you're just 7 minutes from the boat launch or 12 minutes from the marina and cafe on the lake. The Nantahala Outdoor Center, better knows as the NOC, is only 32 minutes up Hwy 74. They offer numerous ways to experience adventure on the river and in the mountains in addition to several seasonal dining options and a fun, cool place to hang out and watch the action on Nantahala River.
