The Space:
Gandan Inn is located in JiaDongLi, Douliu City, Yunlin County. The tiny house is around 155 sqft in size whereas the living space around is about 400 square meters. There will be open turf in front of the tiny house for you to spend time with your loved ones. Beautiful orchards will be in view and make for a beautiful scenery to relax and let loose. From the tiny house, you can explore several local attractions such as the Ci'en Pagoda, Shuishe Pier, Lantan Scenic Area, Chiayi Park, Chung Tai World Museum and Hinoki Village.
A comfortable accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for your use.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, focusing on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

Guests can enter the small house and its surrounding area. The first house on the left after entering the gate and the storage room on the rear left are restricted from access.

The Neighborhood:
Gandan Inn is conveniently situated just a one-hour scenic drive away from the city of Taichung and the renowned Sun Moon Lake. The tiny house is amidst the picturesque countryside of Douliu city where you can wander through the night markets, sample local delicacies, and soak in the local environment. During this stay, there's no shortage of opportunities to connect with nature and breathe in the fresh air.
Our local recommendations：
- Ci'en Pagoda is 46 meters in height and has become the famous landmark of Sun Moon Lake. The Ci'en Pagoda overlooks Sun Moon Lake and is surrounded by beautiful plants and trees.
-Shuishe Pier is not to be missed if you visit Sun Moon Lake. It is close to the lake area's transport hub and allows visitors to immerse themselves in lake and mountain scenery.
- Lantan Scenic Area is called the back garden of Chiayi by locals. Lantan is rich in natural resources as well as beautiful scenery with many hiking routes organised.
- Hinoki Village is one of the attractions in Chiayi City, and it is also a forest cultural and creative park. The park includes a camping forest club and is the official residence of Alishan Forestry.
- Wenwu Temple is a famous attraction in Sun Moon Lake. This golden-yellow temple is known to attract a large number of students to pray for blessings every exam season.
- The Douliu Night Market has a staggering variety of small snacks to be had ranging from novelty items to more traditional fare. You can find barbecued corn to baked potatoes, fried chicken to squid, braised foods and so on.

Getting Around:
By car:
-The distance from Nantou City is 38 km, which takes half an hour.
-The distance to the nearby town (Gukeng) is 8km, which takes 5 minutes from Taichung.
-The distance from Kaohsiung to Yunlin is one and a half hours.
-It can be reached on a 2WD or 4WD.
By public transport;
1. Take the high-speed rail from Taipei to Yunlin for 1 hour and 40 minutes, then transfer to the high-speed rail shuttle bus to Douliu for about 40 minutes. After that, take a taxi or rent a shared bicycle to the tiny house.

- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Mobile reception is good for Hi-Net, Taiwan Mobile, Seednet and Asia Pacific Telecom (APTG), Taiwan Star Telecom and VIBO. Taiwan Fixed Network has no signals.
- Private picking and damage of crops and produce are strictly prohibited, unless with given consent from the host.
Important note :
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our amenities a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more.
