Kinderland SainasOptimal start for beginners in snow sports. The "Kinderland Sainas" with magic carpet is located at the western end of the village. The sunny learning slope is open daily from 10.00 - 12.00 and from 13.30 - 15.30 and can be used free of charge.
Motta NalunsThe family-friendly Motta Naluns ski area lies in a sunny location above Scuol, Ftan and Sent. If you want to explore this snow sports area (1250 - 2785 m), you can reach the top by cable car from Scuol or by chairlift from Ftan. 13 cable cars and lifts provide access to the extensive area, where beginners and advanced skiers alike will quickly find their favourite piste. The absolute highlight is the dream piste that winds its way from the 2710 metre-high Salaniva mountain in the very east of the ski area down to Sent (1430 metres).

Motta NalunsThe Scuol - Motta Naluns gondola lift or the Ftan - Prui chairlift take you across meadows, fields and forests above the tree line at over 2000 metres above sea level to the hiking and biking area. The extensive network of hiking trails leads through dry areas, moors, meadows, over streams, through sparse forest, up to summits and in some places over snowfields that are still reminiscent of the previous winter. A unique view of the valley, the Engadin Dolomites opposite and the national park is the reward for those who venture to this altitude.
Sagriffto and Romansh cultureLike every village, Ftan also has its own linguistic idiosyncrasies. However, the Romansh language is not only spoken here, it is also lived and cultivated. Bathing lake projectFtan is to have a free bathing lake again for young and old. It should be a recreational oasis for guests and locals with spectacular views. The bathing lake is a natural lake fed by rainwater, embedded in native flora and fauna and will be built on the existing old structures. It is due to open in early summer 2018.
