At the restaurant guests can order a wide range of fish, meat and vegetable dishes along with homemade pastries. We use fresh ingredients and vegetables which we grow in an organic way in our green houses or purchase from our neighbor farmers. Our vegetable soups like ”Hverasúpa” the soup of the house is very popular, made of diverse kind of vegetables. There is also pan fried fish like cod, haddock or catfish, the fish that is available at each time. The traditional Icelandic lamb meat soup is filled with meat and organic vegetables.Restaurant/cafe (Open April to end of September) with meat like (hamburgers, lamb meat soup), fish (pan fried fish) and organic vegetables salads and soups(buffe really great) and pastries. Mini market, handcraft, camping and "Hobbit camping houses" camping in a green house.
Beautiful area, many great spots in the nature (Ice cave Langjökull, Deildartunguhver, Hraunfossar), many cultural places (Reykholt). Hverinn is situated in a tiny green house village named Kleppjárnsreykir about 6 km from the town Reykholt and about 100km from Reykjavik . The area has its own hot spring and the green houses in the village are heated with geothermal energy. If guests want to take a little walk they can see that hot spring and have a swim in an outdoor swimming pool 150m away that is also heated with geothermal water.
