Summary: The object is located in Manapany-les-Bains in the south of the island. The weather in June (winter) there is pleasant with 20-30ยฐC on the short days and rain only at night/evening. In the tropic summer the weather has to be even more humid and hot, so prepare for that. The room and pool (a bit cold during our stay but nevertheless refreshing) are on the first floor, the owner lives above. He is often away for work and his mother and sister in law take care of you. They are all very nice. It's a quiet and remote place located a bit up from the street, so there is not much noice. You can hear and see the waves of the ocean however. A nice beach with a little swimming area can be reached by foot. Nevertheless, a rental car is necessary for the discovery of the island and your stay anywhere on the island. Since many nice beaches and access points for hikes are quite far, you will probably need to plan some driving time (30-60min) depending on where you want to go. The rooms could definetely need some maintenance and minor repairs and the overall cleaniness was not what we expected even if the humid climate is possibly responsible for some wear on the furniture. In summary, the stay was good and the island is magnificent to visit. I would recommend the spring early summer if you opt for a moderate climate!
